JB VanHollen for Attorney General

DOJ: Beacon of Justice

The first obligation of any representative government is to provide for public safety.

Attorney General Van Hollen's philosophy is straightforward and direct; the Department of Justice must be a beacon of blind justice to ensure our citizens' trust and faith in our government; government which protects life; government which promotes liberty by enforcing laws against the lawless who would take our liberties away; and government that delivers justice.

Victims deserve justice. Fighting crime by assisting in the investigation and prosecution of these crimes, and defending the state when criminals appeal their convictions, moves victims of crime closer to justice while holding criminals accountable to the neighborhoods they diminish.

Under Attorney General Van Hollen's leadership, the Department of Justice is setting the right priorities to combat crimes by illegal immigrants, reduce violent crime, fight elder abuse and fraud, put sex predators behind bars and eliminate the DNA backlogs at the state Crime Labs.

J.B. Van Hollen is committed to fighting crime and restoring the integrity of the Department of Justice to help provide for safer communities throughout the great State of Wisconsin.
